Healthcare Cost Sharing Ministries
Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Sharing one another's healthcare burdens is a biblical alternative to insurance that is exempt from the Affordable Care Act.
These three ministries have a lot in common.
-
Each is faith based and committed to Galations 6:2.
-
Each is a not-for-profit organization.
-
Each has been faithfully sharing members' burdens for over twenty years.
-
Each coordinates voluntary health cost sharing.
-
Each serve over 45,000 households (nearly 150,000 total households).
-
Each is audited annually by an independent certified public accounting firm.
-
Each encourages members to share burdens in non-financial ways as well, through prayer and personal messages.
-
Each keeps monthly contributions the same regardless of whether you submit your own costs for sharing -- your costs do not increase because of your bills.
-
Each counts total children as 'one share' so sharing remains affordable for families.
-
None share costs for routine care like checkups, preventive care, and ongoing maintenance prescription drugs or cosmetic or dental care with limited exceptions (i.e. well-child checks are eligible for sharing under Medi-Share after annual household portion has been met).
-
None share costs for non-biblical lifestyle choices like abortion procedures and addiction treatment.

Ministries are not insurance.
-
Please carefully review all materials provided by a ministry for complete and accurate information.
-
Please do not hesitate to contact a ministry directly for help understanding what costs may be shared and what costs may not be shared so that you are not surprised and disappointed when it matters.
-
None of these ministries are approved, endorsed or regulated as an insurance company.
-
There are no guarantees, by law or contract, that you will ever receive help paying your own medical expenses even if you have faithfully shared other’s expenses.
-
Whether or not you receive any gifts for medical expenses and whether or not a ministry continues to operate, you will always remain personally responsible for your own unpaid medical bills.
